 Welcome

I want to welcome all of you to Pupil Accounting and for an exciting school year. For anyone that is new in Pupil Accounting, this site is designed to provide you with answers to frequently asked questions and websites to make your job easier.

There are scheduled Pupil Accounting meetings for the upcoming school year, so mark your calendars. The two most important meeting dates for this school year will be September 21, 2011 and February 1, 2012. These two meetings are scheduled to review Pupil Accounting forms and discuss findings from the previous audit.

A Pupil Accounting Calendar of Events has been created. This calendar shows all the MSDS reports and when they are due.

 


 

 Count Day Announcements

February 8, 2012 is the Supplemental Count Date for all schools.

Each district must have their data uploaded into MSDS by March 14, 2012 and data must be certified by March 18, 2012.

All electronic notebooks and supporting documentation must be completed, uploaded and supporting documentation that is not in electronic notebook be sent to Barbette Lane by March 23, 2012.

Audits will begin on Monday, March 26, 2012.

 TSDL Announcement
Upcoming Deadlines
  • 2012 TSDL Collection Certification Deadline August 1, 2012
  • 2012 TSDL Collection Re-open Date August 13, 2012
  • 2012 TSDL Collection Final Certification Deadline August 24, 2012
After the August 1, 2012 certification deadline, CEPI staff will analyze the certified data. Quality review e-mail messages will be sent to district superintendents and MSDS users whose data have anomalies. The collection will re-open on August 13 for all districts. Quality review anomalies can then be researched and, if necessary, corrected. Summer school course data can also be added or updated at this time. There will not be a separate "extended" TSDL collection window for the 2011-2012 school year. Students who do not have a final grade in a course (summer school or otherwise) by the August 24 certification deadline may be reported with an "I" (incomplete) course grade.

Districts that opted to wait and report students' 2010-2011 summer school courses in the 2011-2012 TSDL Collection need to be sure to select the appropriate Academic Year value for each student/course in the Student Course Component. Additional details will be in the upcoming 2012 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document.
