posted Oct 20, 2015, 12:43 PM by Jennifer Gaffke

On September 24, 2015, Wexford-Missaukee ISD Board members and staff, CTC students, and local business representatives participated in a Groundbreaking Ceremony.  Over the next two years, CTC students enrolled in the Applied Construction Technology program will completely build a brand new home.

Brad VanBuren, Applied Construction Technology instructor, explained, “Students will have hands-on opportunities to learn and help build this new home.  They will learn everything from foundation, framing, roofing, wiring, plumbing, and interior finishes.  It’s a tremendous experience for students who are interested in the construction field.”

The new home construction site is located at 10356 E. 36 ½ Road in Cadillac.  The 3-bedroom home will be completed in Spring, 2017.   For more information about purchasing this home or the Applied Construction Technology program, please contact the Wexford-Missaukee CTC at 231-876-2200.
