Wexford-Missaukee CTC Students Receive Awards in Regional MITES Competition

Twelve students enrolled in the Engineering Technology program at the Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center recently received awards at the Regional MITES competition in Harbor Springs on May 6, 2016.  These students have earned the privilege of competing at the 88th Annual MITES Conference and Student Project Competition on May 11-14, 2016 in Lansing, Michigan. 

The award winners include:

First Place:  Isaiah Keeler (Marion HS) – Air Motor, Gabrielle Price (Cadillac HS) – Air Motor Drawings, Daniel Moore (Marion HS) – Chevy Trailer Hitch Cover, Cole Wetherell (Cadillac HS) – Dirt Bike Stand, and Roark Pargeon (Bear Lake HS) – Machine Shop Chess

Second Place:  Cote Eychner (Marion HS) – Air Motor, Grace Fuzi (Adult Education) – Princess Hitch Cover, and Lauren Millen (Pine River HS) – Rain Chain

Third Place:  Justin Cole (Pine River HS) – Trailer Hitch Cover and Tucker Fansler (Pine River HS) – Hammer

Fourth Place:  Levi Black (Lake City HS) – Ice Hammer and Larry Crawley (McBain HS) – Trailer Hitch Cover

MITES (Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society) is state-wide student organization that promotes career, technical and industrial education programs.
